Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed passed away. He was 79 and had been ailing for the past few days with the complaint of neck pain and temperature.
He was treated at Delhi AIIMS and in the last 10 days his health condition was critical.The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said he breathed his last at 9.10 a.m.
The death OF THE cm occurred due to multiple organ failure. With infection spreading to lungs he passed away today morning in the hospital.Sayyed was brought to AIIMS on December 24 and put on ventilator three days back.Sayeed first served as Jammu and Kashmir chief minister in 2002-05.
He took over as chief of the PDP-BJP coalition in March 2015 and became Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. His daughter Mehbooba Sayeed is seen as heir apparent and CM successor of Mufti Mohammad.
