Uttam seeks week's time to review ward reservation Hyderabad, Jan 7 (INN): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday sought Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma's intervention in ensuring that the GHMC elections are held in a fair manner and that a level playing field is ensured for all political parties.
In respect of reservations for SCs, STs and women, the TPCC said that the proposal list be shared with all political parties. "Our objections/appeals/ observations may be taken note of before the reservations of 150 divisions in GHMC is finalised. As gap of least one week may be kept between finalisation/ announcement of reservations of 150 divisions and notification of election to enable political parties to finalise their candidates," he said in his letter to the Chief Secretary.
Uttam Kumar Reddy wrote another letter to State Election Commissioner Nagi Reddy requesting for a gap of at least one week between finalisation/ announcement of reservations of 150 divisions and notification of election to enable political parties to finalise their candidates.
