Platform ticket rate at Sec'bad Stn doubled
Hyderabad, Jan 11 (INN): The South Central Railway has doubled the rate of platform ticket at Secunderabad Railway Station for a period of 10 days.
'In view of the ensuing Sankranti festival coinciding with the Sabarimalai traffic, it is expected that Secunderabad Railway Station will witness additional foot falls of rail travelers as well as non-travellers, leading to huge crowd on the platforms during the period,' the SCR said in a press release on Monday. Therefore, with a view to regulate the flow of people who enter the platforms and avoid inconvenience to the travelling public by means of ensuring decongestion of platforms, the rate of Platform Ticket only at Secunderabad Railway Station has been enhanced from present Rs. 10/- to Rs. 20/- for a period of seven days i.e. from 12th January to 18th January.
