I Am Also A Settler In Hyderabad: KTR The word 'Settler' has become very popular during Telangana agitation.TRS leaders had frequently used the word On Andhraites. Now after a long gap the same word came to fore. Political parties are trying to play one-up against each other in trying to woo the large number of 'settlers' in the GHMC area.
The Telangana IT and Panchayatiraj minister is the latest politician to get onto the 'settler' bandwagon. KTR speaking to media said that he himself was a settler in Hyderabad.Revealing that his own family had relocated to Hyderabad from Siddipet, the minister stated that he too is a settler in Hyderabad. KTR questioned 'Who else isn't a settler in Hyderabad?'
"Who else in not a settler in Hyderabad. I am also a settler. I born in Siddipet and relocated to Hyderabad. If we take Hyderabad population hardly 10 per cent people would be there who were born and brought up in Hyderabad. The rest all migrated here from other districts and states.'' KTR also said that people should not take his words spoken during Telangana movement by their face value and that he respects everyone with the same feeling.
If TRS leaders really respects these so called Settlers why did they abused them during Telangana agitation?
With the settlers becoming the focus of the GHMC electoral campaigns, it is the voter at large who seems to be in demand and commanding due attention in these elections.
