GHMC removes over 82,000 banners Hyderabad, Jan 12 (INN): GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy said that as per the directions of the State Election Commissioner around 82,834 banners, cutouts, flexies, have been removed.
They include nearly 25,970 flexies, 23,722 posters, 16,751 banners have been removed. Teams of sanitation workers removed all the unauthorised publicity material from various parts of the city, said the Commissioner.
Meanwhile, the GHMC Election Authority stated that 387,530 new voters have been enrolled and now the total voters have increased to 74,36,247. They include 39,73,374 male, 34,61,919 female voters and 554 are others.
He said that the GHMC was taking all necessary steps and planning to improve the polling percentage duly involving various organisations for the purpose. A new app has been introduced by the GHMC where the citizens can download their voter slips from the website.
