GHMC Ticket For Cash-for-Votes Linked Pradeep Chowdary
One of those who were questioned by the police in the sensational 'cash for vote scam' is now trying his luck in the GHMC elections as corporator. TDP's Telugu Yuvatha leader Pradeep Chowdary has succefully managed to get ticket from TDP. He has presently filed his nomination as the TDP candidate for the Vengalrao Nagar division.
TDP ally in GHMC elections BJP had reportedly expressed objection to Pradeep's nomination and BJP insisted on this seat as part of pre-poll alliance. But TDP didn't paid heed to BJP request. As per media reports the nomination has been given to Pradeep as he was confidant of Nara Lokesh. Pradeep Chowdhury had earlier figured prominently in the call lists of the 'cash for vote scam' due to which his role was investigated by the police.
ACB questioned Pradeep several times in cash for vote scam. ACB summoned Pradeep and interrogated him for several hours.The T TDP leaders took the matter seriously and also met Governor of the two states and complained to him about this. They said that ACB harassed the Pradeep Chowdary and putting pressure on him to reveal names of big leaders.
