World's Oldest Man Dies The world's oldest man has died at the age of 112 in the Japanese city of Nagoya.Yasutaro Koide, who was born on 13 March 1903, was officially named the oldest man by Guinness World Records in August this year. He died on January 19, 2016, of heart failure and pneumonia in a hospital in Nagoya
On August 21, 2015, he was officially recognized as the oldest living man by Guinness World Records.When asked about the secret to his long life, Koide responded by stating that "the best thing is to not overdo" and recommending abstinence from smoking or drinking.
Officials said he died of heart failure and pneumonia early on Tuesday, just two months short of his 113th birthday. It is not yet clear who succeeds him as the oldest man.
