BJP ex-MLA joins TRS Hyderabad, Jan 23 (INN): Former MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party Prem Singh Rathore, along with his supporters, joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Saturday.
Rathore was inducted into the party by Ministers K. Tarakarama Rao, Jagadishwar Reddy and Mahender Reddy at a function held at TRS Headquarters Telangana Bhavan. They offered him a pink 'khandwa'.
It may be mentioned that Rathore had resigned from the BJP in protest against denial of tickets to his supporters in GHMC elections. Although the BJP had issued a press release on Friday stating that Rathore's resignation was not accepted and he would stay in the party, the former MLA gave a major shock by joining the TRS.
Meanwhile, TDP senior leader Bandi Ramesh from Serilingampally also joined the TRS today.
