TTD approves Rs.2678 Cr Annual budget
TIRUMALA, 30 January 2016: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Friday approved its annual budget for the year 2016-17 with an estimated budget of Rs.2678.07crores.
Some Highlights of the annual budget of TTD:
TTD expected to receive Rs. 1010crores from capital funds (as kanuka) from devotees, which would be the major earner, while Rs.300 Special Entry Darshan was expected to fetch a minimum of Rs. 209crores for the financial year.
TTD is expecting to garner Rs.778.93cr as interest on investments, Rs.114.5cr on accommodation and Rs.55cr through Arjitha Seva tickets.
Similarly, the payment of wages and salaries was expected to be the major outgo, to the tune of Rs. 500crores.
For this financial year, an estimated Rs. 150cr is estimated to be earned towards the sale of human hair
An amount of Rs.160cr towards engineering works, Rs.121cr for HDPP, Rs.93.20 on Education, Rs.108.84cr towards health and Sanitation and FMS, Rs.67.87cr on Vigilance and security, Rs.62.82cr for hospitals.
