24 hour deadline for Asaduddin's arrest
Hyderabad, Feb 2 (INN): The Telangana Congress leaders have set 24 hour deadline for Telangana Police to arrest MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi for attacking TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Leader of Opposition Mohammed Ali Shabbir in front of Mir Chowk Police Station on Tuesday.
The Congress leaders held a massive dharna before DGP office at Lakdi-ka-Pul on Tuesday evening. Senior Congress leaders including legislators and MPs participated in the dharna. They demanded immediate arrest of Asaduddin Owaisi and other MIM workers who carried out the attack. The dharna went on for over an hour. Following an assurance by Additional DGP (Law & Order) Anjani Kumar of taking stern action against the culprits, the Congress leaders called off the dharna.
However, the Congress leaders warned of severe protest if Asaduddin Owaisi and other culprits are not arrested during the next 24 hours.
