Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella Influenced by Marxist Dad Satya Nadella, The Indian-origin CEO of world's largest IT giant , Microsoft says the biggest influence on him was from his parents - his father Yugandhar, an economist and a Marxist and mother a Sanskrit drama professor.
In a video interview given to a journalist Satya has made some interesting revelations and says his greatest personal possession is a cricket bat signed by Sachin Tendulkar. Nadella shares his working style and like and dislikes.However, he admits it was impossible for him to explain cricket to anyone in the US.
Earlier Satya said also has an interest in cricket (his passion growing up), having played in his school team. He has mentioned having learned something about leadership and teamwork from cricket.
Satya Nadelal father Yugandhar is a retired bureaucrat, who has served in the Prime Minister's Office and the Planning Commission. Yugandhar was the top bureaucrat in the rural development ministry when Narasimha Rao was the prime minister. He also having close association with late Chief Minister NTR.
Satya Nadella's grandfather migrated from Nadella village in Guntur district to Bukkapuram village in Anantapur district in Rayala Seema four decades ago. That's why the family retained both Bukkapuram and Nadella in their surname.
