Krishnaiah opposes inclusion of Kapus in BCs Hyderabad, Feb 3 (INN): BC Welfare Association President and TDP MLA R. Krishnaiah has warned the Andhra Pradesh Government against inclusion of Kapus in Backward Classes.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Krishnaiah said that the BCs would launch a massive agitation if Kapus are included in the BC list. He said that the BCs were not opposed to giving reservation for Kapus in jobs and education. However, they were against Kapus' inclusion in the BC list.
Krishnaiah said additional funds should be sanctioned for the development of Kapus and also poor Brahmins and Reddys. He advised that the State Government should constitute a separate corporation of Kapus by allocating a fund of Rs. 1,000 crore. He demanded that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu withdraw his statement promising BC status to Kapus.
