World Cup T20 Squad Announced
Team India's squad for the World Cup T20 commencing next month was announced by BCCI today. The list is having new faces like Pacer Mohammed Shami and left-arm slow bowler Pawan Negi. Young players such as Jasprit Bhumrah and Hardik Pandya, who impressed with their performances in the recent series against Australia, also found a place in the squad.
Surprisingly name of Young batsman Manish Pandey, who played a match-winning century in last T20 was not in the list. Pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ishant Sharma were also left out. Ajinkya Rahane who injured during ODI series with Australia has been selected. Selectors also reposed faith in veteran players such as Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh in the 15-member team.
India are in Group B alongside big teams like New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia .The same tame will play with Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series.
