Chandrababu Naidu's Delhi tour seems to be giving fruitful results that everyone wants to see. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who cautiously avoided the mention of special status for Andhra Pradesh all through his speech at the Amaravati foundation laying ceremony now opened his mouth on special status. As per reports coming out in national media Modi reportedly assured Naidu on special status.
Modi said '' We will protect AP in all the possible ways and fulfill all assurances and promises. We have also got reviews about special packages and special status from the NITI Ayog and union Finance Ministry is looking into how to implement these."
Modi also reportedly said Naidu "You will definitely hear sweet news very soon."
Recently Andhra Pradesh state Finance Minister Yanamala have met union finance minister Arun Jaitely in New Delhi and requested additional funds for the state. What will be the sweet news from Modi? Is it special package or special status? The Union Budget will be presented in the Parliament on February 29.
