TRS will not join NDA: Venugopal Chary Hyderabad, Feb 14 (INN): Special Representative of Telangana Government in New Delhi Venugopal Chary on Sunday dismissed the reports which suggested that Telangana Rashtra Samithi might join the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre.
Speaking to media persons, Venugopal Chary said that although the TRS plans to extend issues-based support to the NDA Government, it has no plans to join the BJP-led alliance. Further, he said that the TRS would not go aggressive against the NDA Government. He said that the TRS intends to maintain friendly relationship with the Centre to get adequate funds for the development of Telangana State.
Venugopal Chary said that the TRS MPs would play a constructive role and would raise issues to protect the interest of people of Telangana.
He said that the visit of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to New Delhi was extremely successful and he was able to convince the Centre on getting adequate funds for various projects in Telangana. He hoped that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would accept the pleas made by KCR seeking funds for different schemes. He said that the Centre should take immediate steps to undo the injustices done with Telangana State since its formation in June 2014.
