Gun Misfires; TS MLA's Driver Dies
Narsapur MLA Chilumula Madan Reddy's driver Akbar dead after accidentally shooting himself using the revolver of MLA'S personal security. The driver in his early 30's was reportedly curious to check the gun which the MLA's gunman Ravinder kept on the table. The driver accidentally pulled the trigger and bullet pierced him to death on the spot as the shot was from a close distance. The accident occurred in MLA Quarters in Hyderguda.
The 9 mm pistol, which reportedly misfired, belongs to Ravindra the PSO of the MLA. Police officials have detained the gunman, and are quizzing him on the incident. Police have not come out with details as how the firing took place.
However, Akbar's aunt expressed doubts on the death and suspected some foul play.The victim hails from Chowdarypally in Mahbubnagar district and had been working for the MLA for about 15 years in Medak district. Central zone DCP Kamalasan Reddy was supervising the panchnama and media was strictly prohibited from entering the MLA's quarter in the complex.
