Complete 'Mission Bhagiratha' without delay: CM Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): Expressing displeasure over delay in execution of assigned works, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has directed the officials to complete the Mission Bhagirata works as per schedule to ensure tapped water supply to all households.
Addressing a review meeting at MCRHRD Institute at Jubilee Hills on Friday, the Chief Minister said tapped water supply would be provided in nine Assembly constituencies in the State by April this year. He warned against use of sub-standard cement and material in the pipe. He also stressed on better coordination among officials of various departments to speed up the works. He asked the officials of Energy Department to participate in Mission Bhagiratha works for at least 10 days in a month. He asked the Rural Water Supply Department to coordinate with the GENCO and TRANSCO to complete the works pertaining to Pump House, Pipe and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering related works. He said there should be effective coordination among officials, engineers and contractors.
KCR also announced 15% incentive for those who complete the works as per scheduled.
The review meeting was also attended by Energy Minister Jagadishwar Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma and other senior officials.
