Special arrangements for Krishna Pushkaralu
Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): The South Central Railway will be making special arrangements for the forthcoming Krishna Pushakarams in Andhra Pradesh.
SCR General Manager Ravindra Gupta attended a high level review meeting of the AP Government chaired by Chief Minister N .Chandrababu Naidu at Vijayawada on Friday to deliberate on the arrangements for the ensuing Krishna Pushkarams in the State.
Ravindra Gupta broadly indicated the plans drawn by South Central Railway towards readying required arrangements to cater to the anticipated rush of rail pilgrim traffic during the Krishna Pushkaram period. He informed that the plans include running of special trains, comprehensively enhancing passenger amenities and facilities including provision of additional waiting sheds, reservation counters, booking counters, drinking water, toilets, catering, security arrangements etc.,
Chandrababu Naidu desired that the facilities planned by SCR shall be on a higher scale and sufficiently good, in tune with the requirements of the pilgrim rush. Chief Minister also suggested that Vijayawada and Guntur Railway stations shall be developed in a world class manner and expressed willingness of the Andhra Pradesh Govt. to partner with the Railways in this task.
