Commercial Dept unearths irregularities in automobile sector Hyderabad, March 1 (INN): The Commercial Department is taking up monthly special drives to verify the tax compliance of dealers sector ' wise and commodity ' wise.
In the month of February, a special drive was taken on tax compliance of automobile dealers and the department un-earthed irregularities. The dealers who resorted to under reporting of turnovers are now forced to pay tax, penalty and interest upon such under declaration.
The special drives will be taken up for all commodities from 1st April, 2016 after completion of the financial year 2015-16, the Commissioner said in a press release.
All the take payers have been asked to pay all the taxes due to the Commercial Tax Department immediately lest they may have to pay tax, penalty and interest in cases where suppression of turnovers is noticed.
