Sec. 144 at intermediate exams centres
Hyderabad, March 1 (INN): City Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy has imposed Sec. 144 at all the examination centres of Intermediate Public Examinations beginning from Wednesday.
With a view to maintain public order and public peace and to prevent obstruction of any lawfully employed person or causing disturbance of public tranquility or a riot or and affray in the areas covered by certain police stations in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, City Police Commissioner M. Mahendar Reddy has prohibited any assembly of persons around 500 yards at all the examination centers of Intermediate Public Examinations to be held from 2nd to 20th March.
The following are exempted from the operation of this order: Police Officers on duty, Military personnel on duty, Home Guards on duty, Flying Squad Education Department and Bonafide funeral procession.
Any person violating the above orders shall be liable for prosecution under section 144 Cr.PC, said the Police Commissioner.
