TS, Maharashtra to sign historic irrigation pact Hyderabad, March 7 (INN): The officials of Irrigation Departments of Telangana and Maharashtra will sign the historic pact on the construction of five barrages on Godavari, Pranahita and Penganga at an event to be held in Mumbai on Tuesday. The agreement will be signed in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his Maharashtra counterpart Devender Fadnavis.
KCR reached Mumbai on Monday along with a big delegation which comprises of Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, Housing Minister A. Indira Karan Reddy, Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna, State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Niranjan Reddy, Advisors Vidyasagar Rao (Irrigation) and Dharamapuri Srinivas (Inter-State Relations) and other senior officials. The Chief Minister will be staying at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan tonight.
On Tuesday morning, KCR will meet Fadnavis at Siyadari Guest House and both will witness the signing of agreement.
