Kaleshwaram Project will be completed in two years: Harish Rao Hyderabad, March 7 (INN): Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said that the agreement with Maharashtra Government on construction of five barrages would turn the North Telangana into a green zone.
Speaking to media persons before leaving for Mumbai on Monday, Harish Rao said that the Kaleshwaram project would be constructed on Godavari River and it would be completed within two years. He said that the State Government would allocate Rs. 25,000 crore every year to complete all pending irrigation projects in the State. He said loans were also being arranged from different agencies for these projects.
Meanwhile, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said a warm reception would be accorded to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on his return from Mumbai on Tuesday. He said it was due to KCR's efforts that a 60-year-old inter-State dispute was resolved. He said that the Chief Minister would be brought in a special 'ratham' from the Begumpet Airport.
