Govt has no moral right to celebrate Women's Day: Roja Hyderabad, March 7 (INN): YSR Congress Party MLA Roja on Monday said that the TDP Government had no moral right to celebrate the International Women's Day as its leaders were involved in atrocities against women.
Speaking to media persons here, Roja demanded the removal of minister Ravela Kishore Babu from the AP Cabinet for his son's alleged assault on a woman in Banjara Hills. "We are seeing some atrocity or the other on women by the government itself and the ruling party leaders at various levels. The minister's son attempted to assault on a woman in full public view in Hyderabad. Minor girl Indumati was burnt alive in Eluru. Hundreds of women were forced into sex racket by TDP leaders in call money scam. Rishiteshwari was forced to commit suicide. A woman MRO was thrashed by an MLA in full public view. What is your moral right to conduct women's day celebrations?" she questioned.
Roja demanded an apology from actor, Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna for his alleged derogatory remarks against women. She also accused Nara Lokesh of indulging in vulgar activities in clubs.
