TRS Won Khammam, Warangal Municipal Corporations Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) continued its winning streak by bagging the Khammam Municipal Corporation ,Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation and Achampet Nagara Panchayat.
The counting of votes was held in Warangal and Khammam municipal corporations and Achampet municipality on Wednesday. TRS won 44 out of 58 seats in Warangal while Congress could bag four, BJP one and others won nine seats. Most of the independents who won in Warangal are TRS rebels.
In Khammam, where TRS made a serious electoral entry for the first time, the party grabbed 34 seats and reduced TDP to null. Congress won 10 wards, YRS Congress two and others four out of 50 in the corporation.Achampet municipality was 100 percent one-sided. TRS grabbed all the 20 wards and all-opposition grand alliance could not make its presence felt.
Reacting to the results in Warangal, Khammam and Achampet, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that the latest results should be an eye opener for all the Opposition parties.
