YSRCP Moves No Confidence Motion Opposition YSR Congress today gave a notice to move a motion of no-confidence against the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh. The notice was submitted to the Legislative Assembly secretary who alleged that Telugu Desam Party failed to fulfil the promises it made ahead of the elections in 2014.
Speaking to media, party legislator Sujaykrishna Ranga Rao said TDP government has failed in all fronts and threw the state in serious crisis in terms of development and welfare of people. They said that the confidence on the Government was lost due to its corruption and the land scams in the capital city area
"People have lost confidence in the TDP government as it failed on all fronts. It is also steeped in corruption," the YSRC alleged. The motion may be taken up only next week as the House will have a three-day holiday from Friday.
The proposed no-confidence motion was aimed at building a strong legal case against its MLAs who defected to the ruling TDP. Six YSRC MLAs defected to TDP and by moving a no-confidence motion, the YSRC gets to issue a whip to its MLAs.Whoever violates it will be liable for disqualification. Also, the same ground could be used against the defectors if the matter is taken to court. It is interesting to see how the MLAs who changed the party do in the test.
