AP Agriculture Budget: Key Highlights Andhra Pradesh state Agriculture minister Prathipati Pulla Rao has presented Agriculture Budget for 2016-17. The government has set aside Rs. 16,250.58 crore for agriculture and allied sectors for 2016-17.This outlay includes Rs. 7,692 crore for agriculture and allied sectors under plan and Rs. 8,556.68 crore under non-plan spheres.
Addressing the members in AP Assembly, the Agriculture minister said that chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has specially focussed on this budget keeping in mind the all concerns of state farmers. The state government was committed to implement micro irrigation under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana in a big way with an outlay of Rs 369.58 crore in 2016-17, the minister added. Simultaneously, the agriculture budget was introduced in the state council by Devineni Uma.
