Govt did not erred in Rohit's case: Minister Hyderabad, March 12 (INN): Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy said that the Telangana Government did not make any mistake in handling the suicide case of Dalit research scholar of Hyderabad Central University Rohit Vemula.
Intervening on the issue during discussion on Motion of Thanks on Governor's Address in Legislative Council on Saturday, Jagadish Reddy said that the State Government has registered a case and ordered enquiry into Rohit Vemula's suicide. However, he alleged that Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi politicised the issue by visiting the HCU. He said Rahul Gandhi did not visit when students from North-Eastern States were killed in Delhi. But he visited the HCU on Rohit's issue.
The minister said that the State Government has properly handled the case and Congress was trying to politicise the issue.
