TS Govt positions 3.33 lakh quintal seeds
Hyderabad, June 24 (INN): The Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana Seeds Development Corporation Ltd., has informed that 333064.84 quintals of various seed were positioned for Kharif-2015 in the State.
The Managing Director informed that out of 361320 quintals of seed indent for various crops so far positioned the above seeds in all the mandals in Telangana State. He also informed that the balance quantity of seed indented by the Joint Directors of Agriculture also will be s positioned at the places recommended by the districts of J.Ds within a in short period.
The farmers have been advised to obtain permits from the Mandal Agriculture officers and also purchase the subsidy seed from the Mandal sale point.
The positioned seeds (in quintals) are: Greenmanure - 54730.70; Paddy - 159700; Pulses - 7393.84; Soybean JS-335 - 62883.30; Groundnut,K-6 - 5135; Sesamum - 60; Maize - 42980 and Jowar /Bajra - 182.
