AP CS reviews Mid Day Meal scheme
Hyderabad, June 27 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao held a meeting on Saturday with the officials of Finance and School Education Departments to review on the implementation of Mid Day Meal Scheme (MDMS) and releasing of payments of the scheme in the State.
The Chief Secretary has spoken over telephone with the District Collectors on pending bills of MDMS. It was conferred by District Collector Srikakulam Dr. P. Lakshminarasimham that all pending bills are paid or in the process of being paid.
Krishna Rao issued instructions to the officers concerned that all the schools to be inspected by the State, District and Mandal Level Officers regularly and all the officers dealing with Mid Day Meal Scheme need orientation and awareness for its better and effective implementation of the scheme. Dedicated staff has to be appointed for MDMS affecting the smooth implementation regularly in all the Districts in the State Sri Krishna Rao added.
School Education Prl. Secretary Sisodia, Commissioner K. Sandhya, Finance Secretary K. Sunitha and others attended the meeting.
