Efforts on for safe return of pilgrims
Hyderabad, June 27 (INN): The Resident Commissioner of AP Bhavan has spoken to an officer at Chamoli camping in Badrinath and also related officers at Joshi Matt. He has also spoken to some of the stranded people to know about their whereabouts and health.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh, on behalf of the Resident Commissioner at AP Bhavan, has made arrangements for one bus from Southern Travels at Haridwar. Another bus with more people has been readied at Rishikesh tonight. Two officers of AP have been deputed at Haridwar and Rishikesh, respectively, to monitor and assist the affected pilgrims who are likely to reach in the night or tomorrow morning.
Omkar and Janardan, incharges at Rishikesh TTD/Ashram have been advised to make all arrangements to receive and ensure pilgrims' safety.
