Official Iftar parties across Telangana on July 12
Hyderabad, July 5 (INN): The official Iftar parties, across the State of Telangana, will be held on July 12.
The Committee, headed by senior IPS Officer A.K.Khan, on Sunday reviewed the arrangements for the Iftar parties and distribution of other sops, as announced by the State Government. The meeting was attended by Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy, Minorities Welfare Department Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel MWD Director MJ Akbar, Haj Committee's special officer Prof. S.A.Shukoor, Wakf Board CEO Asadullah, Police Inspector, incharges of Masjid Committees and senior officials of different departments.
Speaking to media persons later, Khan said that the Masjid Committees would be given Rs. 1 lakh in advance to conduct the Iftar party and the balance amount would be released next day. He said the arrangements for Iftar at various mosques would be made in coordination with local police and Minority Welfare Department officials. Further, he said the distribution of clothes among poor Muslims would be completed before Shab-e-Qadar on July 15. A piece of Kurta-Pyjama, two sarees and one seviyan packet would be distributed through local mosques. He said the honorariums for Imams and Maozans too would reach them before Eid.
