CM announces major sops for Peddapally Hyderabad, July 5 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has announced that the 50-bedded government hospital at Peddapally would be upgraded into 100-bedded hospital. He also announced that Central Lighting Systems will be installed on the National Highway passing through Sultanabad by expanding them.
The Chief Minister made the announcements after launching the 'Telanganaku Haritha Haram' at Peddapally of Karimnagar. He said that the State Government has launched the programme to expand the green belt in the State which in turn could increase the rainfall. He said nearly 230 crore trees would be planted n the next three years. He said at least 40,000 tress would be planted in every village of Telangana.
KCR said that Telangana's forest cover was lost due to the negligence of previous governments. He said the reduction in forest cover not only reduced revenues, but also had an impact on environment.
The Chief Minister also listed out various welfare schemes being implemented by the State Government. He said that there was a proposal to set up Rythu Bazar and a Vegetable Market in Peddapally. He directed the RDO to submit a report in this regard and assured that he would visit Karimnagar in the next 15 days to take a final decision.
Finance Minister Etala Rajender, MLA Manohar Reddy and P Madhu, MP Balka Suman, Karimnagar Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad and other senior officials were also present.
