TPCC forms panel to study TRS Govt failures The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has constituted a committee to study the status of promises and their implementation by the TRS Government in the State.
The 17-member panel will be headed by former Speaker KR Suresh Reddy. Prominent leaders, including MLAs and MPs have been included in the panel. Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the committee would prepare a report on the status of promises made by the TRS in its manifesto. Based on the committee findings, the TPCC would frame a strategy to pressurise the State Government to fulfill the promises that it made with the people.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that several schemes and sops were announced for Telangana State in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. However, the BJP-led Central Government completely neglected the State and those promises remained unfulfilled. Citing instances, he said no steps were taken to establish Railway Coach Factory at Qazipet of Warangal district. Similarly, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has failed to fulfill any of the major promises that he made before and after the elections.
