UP delegation visits GHMC office
Hyderabad, July 7 (INN): A team of 25 senior officials of different Municipal Corporations of Uttar Pradesh visited the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation here on Tuesday.
The senior officials of GHMC interacted with the visiting delegates. Additional Commissioner (IT) D Jayaraj Kennedy gave a Power Point Presentation on various developmental activities of the GHMC such as Sanitation, lifting of garbage, Solid Waste Management, Collection of Property Tax, issue of Town Planning Building Permissions and other innovative scheme like Rs. 5/- food scheme, Owner Cum Driver scheme. The delegates have enthusiastically interacted with the officials and enquired about various developmental activities of the GHMC.
The senior officials have also explained the Smart City concepts, which were held at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi where Prime Minister of India has praised the GHMC for collecting huge amount of property tax without enhancing the existing tax rate since one decade.
