Caste-twist to municipal strike
Hyderabad, July 11 (INN): The Telangana Congress leaders on Saturday gave a different caste-twist to the ongoing strike by the municipal employees.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, MLC MS Prabhakar and MLA A Sampath Kumar said that the TRS Government was not resolving the problems of municipal employees as most of them belongs to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes. They said that the TPCC would submit memorandums to the SC, ST, BC and Human Rights Commissions seeking their directions in resolving the problems being faced by the municipal workers across the Telangana State.
