KCR requests Maharashtra to release water Hyderabad, July 12 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has appealed to the Maharashtra Government to release water to Telangana State in view of Godavari Pushkaraulu beginning from July 14.
KCR on Sunday called up Maharashtra Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao and urged him to use his offices to ensure release of waters to Basara in Adilabad district, during Godavari Pushkarulu. According to sources, KCR had earlier spoken to his Maharashtra counterpart Devendra Fadnavis on the issue. Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao is also following up the issue with the Maharashtra Government.
