Aruna accuses KCR of stalling Mahabubnagar projects Hyderabad, July 13 (INN): Congress MLA DK Aruna on Monday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of delaying four major irrigation projects of Mahabubnagar district.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Aruna said that the previous Congress Government had initiated four major irrigation projects for Mahabubnagar district. She said the projects were pending for want of funds. All four projects would become functional if KCR sanctions about Rs. 1,000 crore. Once the funds are released, the projects can be completed within six months and would benefit about 8 lakh farmers. However, KCR has been delaying the projects as he is afraid that the Congress would get credit for the same, she alleged.
Aruna said that letter written by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to Central Water Commission on Palamuru Lift Irrigation Project was a part of conspiracy hatched by both Naidu and KCR to stall developmental projects in Mahabubnagar district.
