CBN & Modi tweet mourns for Pushkaram Stampede victims
Chaos, mayhem reigned supreme at the most prestigious Maha Pushkarams in Rajahmundry. Just few hours after the Godavari Pushkarams began, tragedy has struck and Twenty seven people have died in a stampede during Pushkaram festival in Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh.
Several others have been injured in the incident and the death toll is likely to rise.The incident happened around'8am'at Rajahmundry soon after chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and his family took the holy dip and left the place.
CBN and PM Narendra Modi expressed grief and shock over the tragic incident. Meanwhile YCP Chief Jagan and BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya and Telangana CM KCR and several ministers' expressed shock over the incident and conveyed sympathies and condolences to bereaving family members.'N. Chandrababu Naidu announced Rs.10 lakh ex-gratia each for the families of those killed in the stampede.
