Opposition Parties from Andhra Pradesh state is leaving no stone unturned to irk the ruling TDP in Pushkaram stampede. Its known that TDP government erected statue of late NTR at Pushkaram Ghat on the eve of Godavari Pushkaralu.
Congress Chief and senior leader Raghuveera Reddy linked NTR statue to the tragedy. Addressing media Raghuveera said installing of NTR statue at the ghat meant for spiritual pursuits is wrong. Raghuveera said NTR statue at the pushkar ghat turned out bad omen for the state.
He said that it was not suggested when the proposal of erecting NTR's statue there but the government went ahead against the suggestion.He demanded CM Chandrababu Naidu resign taking it as moral responsibility or render an apology all Telugu people. Its woth to mention that' Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has decided to go ahead and install a statue of NTR at the Pushkar Ghat of Godavari river in Rajahmundry despite protests from locals. The government installed 14 feet statue of NTR in lord Krishna getup.
