T-Congress demands completion of pending projects Hyderabad, July 15 (INN): Congress MLAs G Chinna Reddy and A Sampath Kumar on Wednesday demanded that the State Government take immediate measures to ensure completion of pending projects of Mahabubnagar district.
Speaking to media persons at Assembly premises here, Chinna Reddy said while 90% works of Nethyampadu project have been completed, about 70% of Koyal Sagar project is ready. The Kalwakurthy needs Rs. 250 crore, Koyal Sagar requires Rs. 55 crore and the Bheema Lift Irrigation Project can be completed by spending Rs. 100 crore. Instead of releasing these funds to complete the pending projects, the TRS Government is announcing new projects to divert attention. Sampath Kumar reminded that TRS had promised in its manifesto that it would complete RDS Project.
Chinna Reddy said that the State Government was not paying attention to resolve the problems being faced by farmers. Even dairy and poultry farmers were unhappy. He said that the State Government made no contingency plan to deal with agrarian crisis. Sampath Kumar said that despite having two ministers from the district in State cabinet, the Mahabubnagar farmers have been suffering due to various factors.
