GHMC sacks 33 striking workers
Hyderabad, July 16 (INN): GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar said that until 4 PM on Thursday, nearly 3783.40 metric tons of garbage has been lifted from different parts of the city and dumped at Jawahar Nagar dumping yard.
The Commissioner informed that about 28 drivers and five sanitation field assistants have been removed from duties for regular absent for the past 10 days without prior intimation. Almost 95% of the totals outsourcing staff have joined and about 5% are unable to join duty due to various reasons like health problems. He directed the concerned officials to furnish the details of the absent outsourcing employees in detail so as to take action as per the rules.
