IPL Spot-fixing: Delhi Court acquits Sreesanth and other players A Delhi court has pronounced its final verdict on framing of charges in the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing case. The case involves cricketers S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan.
The court dropped all charges against cricketers in the IPL 6 spot-fixing scandal. All the 36 accused persons including former India capped cricketer S Sreesanth were today discharged in the IPL-6 spot fixing case by a Delhi court.The infamous IPL controversy broke out during the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League. Police arrests all the cricketers and they later released on bail.
Ajit Chandila, who was a part of Rajasthan Royals then, said, 'IPL case was a bad dream for me and my family, I am very happy today.'
Meanwhile Delhi Police moves application before a court in Delhi for further probe in IPL 6 spot fixing scandal in wake of the decision.Police says several new aspects have surfaced after the Lodha committee findings which needs to be probed; Court reserves order on plea till.
