Naidu gives awards for Pushakarulu services Hyderabad, July 26 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu felicitated and gave awards to officials and staff who have rendered best services in Godavari Pushkarams.
The award ceremony was held at the Arts College Grounds in Rajahmundry on Sunday. Earlier, Naidu has also unveiled a pylon to commemorate the successful conduct of 12-day Godavari Pushkarulu. He thanked all the employees and officials for their role in making the event a great success.
Naidu later participated in tree plantation programme. Emphasising the need to increase the forest cover, he announced that 40 crore saplings would be planted across the State during the current year. He also announced that AP Government plans to link Krishna and Godavari Rivers to turn Andhra Pradesh into a drought free zone.
The Chief Minister also thanked Baba Ramdev for participating in the Godavari Pushkarulu.
