State Govt releases Rs. 3.95 Crore for Bonalu Hyderabad, July 27 (INN): The State Government on Monday released Rs. 3.95 crore towards meeting the expenditure of celebration of "Bonalu Festival 2015".
The amount has been released to the Hyderabad District Collector, who has been authorized to draw and disburse the amount to identified temples in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad (GHMC area).
The above grant-in-aid will be utilised for flooring, colouring/white washing, construction of compound walls, minor repairs, water connection, illumination and other related works in such identified temples.
A Joint Committee comprising Joint Collector, Hyderabad/Ranga Reddy, as the case may be, Revenue Divisional Officer concerned, Deputy Commissioner, Endowments, Hyderabad (Convener) and Assistant Commissioner, Endowments (Hyderabad/Secunderabad/R.R. District) will scrutinise the requests received from the temple committees and submit the same to the Committee, headed by Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy.
The State Government directed the officials to complete this process by July 31.
