TRS condemns Congress objection to OGH shifting Hyderabad, Aug 2 (INN): Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA G Balaraju has strongly condemned the objection being raised by Congress party over the shifting of Osmania General Hospital.
Speaking to media persons in TRS Legislature Party office here, Balaraju said that the present building of OGH became dilapidated due to the continuous neglect of previous Congress regime. Instead of being ashamed for neglecting a heritage structure during their rule, the Congress leaders have been trying to politicise the shifting. He said that the ministers of previous Congress Government never visited the OGH and took no measures to protect it. However, when Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao proposed shifting in view of its deteriorating condition so as to prevent any possible tragedy, the Congress leaders have been raising a hue and cry.
Balaraju said that the TRS Government would construct a 10-floor building and the name of Osmania Hospital would be retained. He also slammed Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao for criticising the government and said VHR never gave funds under MPLAD for the OGH.
