Lakshman asks BJP cadre to gear for GHMC polls
Hyderabad, Aug 5 (INN): BJP floor leader in Assembly Dr. K. Lakshman asked the party cadre to gear up for the forthcoming elections for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
Addressing a meeting of GHMC party workers at Barkatpura office here, Lakshman said that the schedule for GHMC elections could be announced any time and therefore, the entire BJP cadre should be ready to face the polls. He said coordinators would be appointed in all the divisions of GHMC. He asked the frontal organisations and different cells to conduct padayatras in their divisions. He asked them to gather information about the problems being faced by people in each division.
Lakshman said that the BJP would organise central meetings in five Assembly segments in the city in the month of August. He expressed confidence that the BJP would win the GHMC polls to capture the post of Mayor. He said that the party was being strengthened in the GHMC limits at the booth-level.
