BJP accuses TRS Govt of neglecting education Hyderabad, Aug 8 (INN): Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy has accused the TRS Government of neglecting the education sector in the Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Kishan Reddy said that the review meeting held by Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on 'KG to PG free education' policy on Friday was aimed at misleading the people. He said that the State Government lacks clarity on the issue.
Kishan Reddy pointed out that the State Government failed to regularise contract lecturers, fill the vacancies of teaching and non-teaching staff and even failed to appoint Vice-Chancellors for State universities. He said that the education sector was in extremely bad shape in Telangana with the government giving no importance to payment of scholarships or fee-reimbursement dues.
The BJP leader said instead of focussing on helping the farmers, who are in distress due to failed monsoon, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar was holding reviewing meetings to encourage poor people to consume more liquor.
