Naidu extends condolences to Munikoti's family Hyderabad, Aug 9 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep anguish after learning about the death of Munikoti today, following a self-immolation attempt yesterday.
Munikoti, the Tirupati Youth, took this drastic step during an agitation, demanding the Centre for Special Status for AP. He suffered from 95% burns when he was taken to the hospital yesterday.
The Chief Minister extended condolences to the family members of Munikoti. Stating that their families and the society needs them the most, the Chief Minister made an appeal to the people to not resort to any such drastic steps. "I'm confident that the Centre will grant special status to our state. But, it is my sincere request to the people of Andhra Pradesh to not be driven by emotion or resort to any extreme steps."
