TRS want 'Smart City' status for Karimnagar Hyderabad, Aug 10 (INN): TRS leaders from Karimnagar district called on Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi on Monday demanding that Karimnagar be developed as 'Smart City'.
Speaking to media persons later, TRS MP Vinod Kumar said that a representation has been given to the Union Minister seeking inclusion of Karimnagar in the list of Smart Cities to be developed by the Central Government. He said Venkaiah Naidu has assured to develop Karimnagar as the third 'Smart City' in Telangana State. He also assured his complete support in development of Telangana State.
The delegation comprised of Karimnagar Mayor Rajender Singh, MLA Kamalakar and other corporators.
