Aruna demands funds for OGH restoration Hyderabad, Aug 14 (INN): Congress senior leader and MLA D.K.Aruna on Friday demanded that the Telangana Government allocate adequate funds for the restoration of Osmania General Hospital building while dropping the plans to demolish the heritage structure.
Speaking to media persons in Congress Legislature Party office here, Aruna pointed that the several agencies, including INTACH, have made it clear that the OGH building was safe and need not be demolished. She said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao wants to go ahead with the demolition while ignoring the views of experts. She said if KCR was really serious, then he should immediately initiate the restoration work.
Aruna also described the 'Swachh Hyderabad' as publicity stunt and said that the city secured 275th rank in 'Swachh Bharat' list.
